How do the miniature coupons work?

All rewards for “custom miniature coupon(s)” are presented as coupons, and as such, are good indefinitely. This allows you to redeem at any point and even for future releases and features. The shipping included is good for one shipment though- so if you split up your purchase (which you can do!), you will have to pay for shipping again. Sorry…

When will the Miniatures Ship?

Tricky question! Our full Character Foundry will be up and running August 1st, when we debut at Gen Con. We are currently gunning for a weeks turnaround (1-2 days to print, 3-6 days of shipping in the US), but a two week turnaround is a bit more likely (especially if we have a huge backlog).

It should be noted that we will be adding more and more items, races, weapons and… stuff(?) as time progress, so if you have a specific idea for your mini, look up our development schedule on our site!

How do I select more than one pledge goal?

In Kickstarter you can only really select one pledge goal, but no worries. If none of the pledge levels are just right, pick the one closest to what you want, and you can adjust upwards later in our backer kit.

Retailers - What are the typical cost of an Eldritch Foundry miniature in a retail store?

Our current pricing point for a single mini is about MSRP 35$. The conditional marker base should add another 10$ on top of that. Oversized models will run you about 10$ extra.

We’re still looking into “bits” pricing and quantities, so that’s a big WIP right now.

Can we purchase STLs?

We’re definitely going to offer STLs for download- it’s a feature we’ll be adding shortly after launch- not a huge deal to implement, it’s just we’re very focused on getting our system up and running first.

Aw, no capes?

We will have capes and cloaks! The boys tried to make an Incredibles joke, but we will DEFINITELY have capes for characters to wear

Do the minis come painted?

All our minis come unpainted, but we are developing a feature that will allow you to connect to painters in your community.

What size are the minis?

We’re doing 34mm minis, on the standard 1 inch base. But remember- this just means the average height- you can go taller or shorter, smaller or bigger. It’s a customization engine, after all!

What do the Arcane Gate and Dark Temple tiers give?

Those two tiers are similar in that you receive a completely personalized art commission of your character, done by our amazingly talented Ilya Salnikov. The difference is that in the Dark Temple tier you get to design 1 item of your choosing (say, a unique flaming glaive). In the Arcane Gate- a whole set of items (1 armor set, 1 weapon). It’s pretty nifty :)

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
